Early Years Education

Goal

Tackle barriers affecting the employment, career progression and retention of parents - primarily women - in the workforce by increasing the availability of accessible and high-quality early years education

What we’re doing

  • Supporting the early years sector to tackle workforce shortages by donating our unspent Growth and Skills Levy (formerly the Apprenticeship Levy) to fund apprenticeship training in early years education, with a particular focus on areas of high deprivation

  • Providing practical support to early years settings to become ‘good employers’ including via the Good Work Standard

  • Amount of Growth and Skills Levy transferred to fund apprenticeships

  • No. of apprenticeships created

How we’re measuring our impact

Members
