Support place-based collaborations to develop and deliver effective outcomes for local places and people
Key deliverables
Anchor People: support the collaboration between the NHS, council services and skills providers to match local NHS vacancies to unemployed residents. Pilot initiatives and create a toolkit which can be used across London, to reduce barriers to employment.
Anchor Place: connect spaces and local organisations for Community Wealth Building. Design a pathway for getting underused TFL property into the hands of local groups and MSMEs producing social value.
Work programme highlights
Producing a report and ‘how to guide’ about local anchor institution networks
Establishing a community of practice to provide peer to peer support in relation to setting up, growing and developing local anchor networks
Developing two new streams of work around Anchor People and Anchor Places, working collaboratively between institutions for Community Wealth Building through making NHS work accessible and utilising Anchor property for community benefit.
