LAIN hosts webinar series to support anchor organisations with inclusive workplace practices

LAIN (London Anchor Institutions’ Network) is set to host a series of free online webinars to support major organisations across the city in embedding inclusive workplace practices and creating environments where staff can thrive throughout their careers.

The webinars will cover key issues including menopause action plans and pay gap reporting, providing practical guidance and opportunities for HR and equality, diversity and inclusion professionals to learn from peers and share best practice.

The sessions come ahead of new requirements under the Employment Rights Act to publish menopause action plans and forthcoming changes to pay gap reporting requirements covering gender, ethnicity and disability.

The upcoming webinars are:

This session will provide practical guidance on developing effective workplace approaches to menopause and supporting employees experiencing menopause.

Speakers include Priya Clement, Head of People Operations at the Greater London Authority, and Kirsten Trussell, coach and consultant specialising in menopause

This session will explore approaches to pay gap reporting and provide an opportunity for organisations to learn from the experiences of peers who have already gone beyond statutory requirements to report on ethnicity and disability as well as gender pay gaps.

Both webinars are open to everyone. You do not need to be a member of the London Anchor Institutions’ Network to attend.

Liz Hutchinson, CEO of London Higher and Co-Chair of LAIN, said:

“A key value of LAIN is peer-to-peer learning and sharing best practice. Our members have a wealth of experience and expertise, and those who have developed action plans and published pay gap reports are well placed to share their lessons learnt with those earlier on in their journeys.

“We’re really pleased to host webinars like these, and I encourage everyone to take advantage and share these opportunities with their own networks.”
